Temperley London

Spring 12

The look The collection had a glamorous 1970s look that could be described as ‘Miami housewife’, set off by silk turbans and obligatory shades.

Key pieces A nude lace jumpsuit with overlayed embroidery detailing was stunning. Floral maxi dresses stood out alongside flowing wide-legged, high-waisted trousers and the sheer chiffon and lace used in dresses and separates.

Colours A palate of nudes and pale pastels with some basic blacks and whites.

Commercial appeal Not as wearable for your average consumer as other collections, but nevertheless some of the dresses would translate as occasionwear, and the trouser and sheer lace blouse combinations are very on trend for spring 12. The high-waisted 1970s trouser shape, as worn with a sheer blouse, is likely to be picked up by consumers.
