Maki Oh

Spring 12

  • One to watch

Young designer Maki Oh merged African culture with fashion-forward designs in one of the most interesting and directional collections of the week, mixing traditional fabrics and prints with modern silhouettes and sexy detailing. Geometric tribal patterns covered sheer dresses while natural materials sourced from the local area were trapped between fabrics to create unusual design details, which was in keeping with the artisanal crafts trend seen at the likes of Burberry Prorsum for spring 12.
