Michael Kors

The look Exotic tribal safari looks were given a glamorous Michael Kors makeover, or “Afriluxe” as the show notes referred to it.

Key pieces Animal prints and real skins covered everything from trench coats to swimsuits, but the label’s trademark dresses stole the show. Summery chiffon styles were key, often one shouldered or with a snakeskin halterneck, and covered with tie dye and batik patterns, or leopard, snake and zebra prints.

Colours Field khakis, sun-blasted sands and bronzed browns with highlights of orange and golden yellows.

Commercial appeal The collection brought together spring 12’s tribal trend with summer’s perennial safari looks and gave them a luxury twist. Although nothing groundbreaking was on show, the commerciality means it will offer a safer way to buy into the tribal trend come spring.
