Milan Fashion Week: Full-bleed art

Tableaus of ethnic scenes, still lifes and photographic sunsets appeared edge-to-edge across many of Milan’s collections.

Exhibited by the likes of Antonio Marras with his moody landscapes, Dolce & Gabbana with its classical compositions and Prada with its modern portraiture, the theme was best employed on clean, flat and voluminous shapes, allowing the variety of prints to remain uninterrupted.
