Milan Fashion Week: Missoni

If you only caught the opening pure white looks and closing darkest black ones, you could have been excused for thinking this wasn’t a Missoni show at all.

But the ombréd peach tones and green repeats of the middle nodded more obviously towards the label’s signature, even if there were only a handful of the classic Missoni knits. Instead of knitwear, Missoni introduced mesh, net and voile pieces, layered on top of undergarments to reveal the colour or construction lines of what lay beneath, giving something beyond monochrome to the hardcore fans.

In short Not a vintage Missoni collection by any stretch but another endorsement of the growing ombré trend that will bleed into the rest of the market.
