Milan Menswear AW13: Best of the rest

Want a suit? Bottega Veneta’s got it: dbs, sbs, grey, black, putty or navy, Tomas Maier has designed
a beautifully cut suit for everybody.

Trussardi was a little more casual but no less sharp, as strong overhead styles including a dramatic long yellow cape rustled down a catwalk strewn with autumnal leaves.

Meanwhile, Salvatore Ferragamo went hell for leather with one of the strongest outerwear offers shown all week, layered over tonally matching looks.

There was more detail at Calvin Klein Collection than usual, but the textural, sporty knits, jackets and coats were all the better for it.

The mood at Missoni was understandably downbeat yet the collection was uplifting, primarily through the light and airy colour palette.

Neil Barrett’s signature simplicity was on show again, but was refreshed with a cracking clash of contrastingly textured textiles.

Meanwhile, Moschino was mad for plaid - or tartan, to be precise - but still found room for biker leathers to add a sense of cool to proceedings, and Moncler Gamme Bleu went all out with an icy Highland fling of a collection - complete with kilts, naturally.
