Gucci, Spring 13
Frida Giannini was clearly feeling colour for spring 13, a distinct departure from her last, more monochromatic spring outing for Gucci. Full cobalt blue, mustard, crimson, grass green and rusty orange looks all came down the runway, interspersed with loose, almost art nouveau colour co-ordinated prints on shirts, blouson jackets and trousers. Beyond the colour and pattern it was a rather eclectic mix of styles as slim dbs and sbs rubbed shoulders with oversized macs and knitted polo shirts. Boxy trench aside, the overall cut was neat and precise.
In short Key colour and print trends were ticked – the Pantone-esque line-up of colours will look good when merchandised in-store.
