Moschino, Spring 13
It was supermarket chic at Moschino, as creative director Rossella Jardini reworked recognisable brand logos across bomber jackets, polo shirts and suits – an eccentric hit as part of the growing print and pattern trend. After this Andy Warhol-inspired logo section came a collection of commercial and wearable pieces, in bright pop art colours that are sure to grab the attention of the high street. Variations on tailoring came as 2sb and 4db styles, some in the lightest of cottons, sometimes layered over polo shirts and V-neck jumpers, or more formally with shirts and bow ties.
In short Behind the tongue-in-cheek prints lies a collection of simple preppy menswear given an injection of Moschino fun, even if the show was a tad disjointed.
