Prada, Spring 13
In stark contrast to the celeb-athon and decadent patterned carpet of the autumn 12 show, Prada’s spring 13 show was a lot simpler. Miuccia stripped everything back – gone were the statement shoes, the accessorising and elaborate showmanship, and in its place was a restrained and minimal offer. Decoration was at a minimum, and colour used only to add definition to details such as necklines, plackets and collars. Sports influences snuck into the mix in the shape of polo shirts, ringer T-shirts, cricket jumpers and running vests.
In short A far less exuberant collection from Prada but the subdued styling makes this a whole lot more commercial and accessible.
