Leaving summer’s conversational prints behind, Miuccia Prada entered a print-free zone at Miu Miu for autumn 10. Instead she concentrated on floral appliqués and cute scalloped hems. But there was no froth or frill - it was clean and simple with a 1960s slant, which channelled a subtle Mary Quant vibe. Short dresses, some with navel-grazing scoop necks, were worn with bandeau tops while others took the form of high-necked sleeveless shifts with a flicked pelmet hem. Puff-shouldered coat dresses with shaped waists and bell-skirted tunics also featured.
