Moncler Gamme Bleu

Autumn 11

The look Country pursuits given a tongue-in-cheek twist.

Key pieces The quilted jacket came in every shape and length, from cropped to mid-calf, layered over quilted pants, knee-length shorts, britches and jodhpurs, quilted gilets and chunky country knits. A quilted salopette was layered over a quilted single-breasted jacket and there were huntsman jackets, poacher quilted gilets, a quilted trench and a quilted blouson, teamed with Barbour-inspired jackets and coats.

Colours A countrified palette of pine, grey, camel, loden green and huntsman red contrasted with the simplicity of black and white.

Commercial appeal There was a huge amount of buzz around this show, and for good reason. Moncler Gamme Bleu gave the hugely commercial heritage trend the shake it needs to sustain it for another season.
