New York Fashion Week: Calvin Klein Collection

Francisco Costa’s vision for Calvin Klein never ventures far from its minimal signature, but for spring 13 the ‘pump up the volume’ of recent seasons made way for a greater fluidity with a beautiful sculpted look.

In subtle contrast to last spring’s peach tones and shiny fabrics, spring 13’s palette was even tighter and monochromatic. Costa seemed to have loosened up a little with the silhouette as sweetheart-necklined day dresses and the ever-popular peplums got a crumpled effect so subtle but so deliberate it didn’t appear messy.
