New York Fashion Week: Victoria Beckham

A few seasons ago it was all about how she can “do some nice frocks”, but now the graduation of Victoria Beckham has never been clearer.

Not usually associated with outerwear (personally and professionally), she showed some truly covetable coats, from checked to slouchy, contrast-sleeved to pony-skin panelled. The true highlight, however, was the single-breasted, slit-sleeved tuxedo jacket-cum-coat at the collection’s close, which acknowledged her nod to a more masculine style. The frocks were still on hand, although high-necked and belted, moving away from her spring 13 girlishness.

In short With enough of a departure from the expected, VB keeps moving on each season with solid, commercial collections.
