Paris Fashion Week - Givenchy

Out of the darkness of his autumn 12 collection came an enlightened Riccardo Tisci as his Givenchy show eschewed sexy gothicism in favour of a fresher (for Givenchy) look.

The lightness was communicated through the baby blue, white and dove grey top notes underpinned by a base of black, but the fabrics really helped the suggestion. Organza gave a flyaway feel to rounded shoulders and ruffled tops and served as the perfect foil to the tailored jackets (the most impressive of which were the two grey dbs). It was all definitely less ornate and fussy but no less intricate.

In short The lightness of Tisci’s touch made for a collection the premium high street upwards would do well to reference.
