Paris Fashion Week: Lanvin

Alber Elbaz always seems a jolly chap, and that sense of spirit came through in this collection.

As has been his way in recent seasons, this was grown-up glamour with a hint of deconstructed rebellion, harking to the elegance of the Lanvin house while injecting Elbaz’s own joie de vivre. Evoking a sense of teenage girls in their mother’s clothes, the collection saw models wearing elegant prom dresses with chunky jewellery. It was a feminine collection and in keeping with the youthful spirit, appeared to have a variety of directions, with a mix of pieces to appeal outside of the quirkier catwalk styling.

In short Fun, personality-filled and likely to appeal to the Lanvin faithful.
