Prada

Modish shapes and colour combos made a showing on the Prada catwalks.

The look Modish shapes and colour combos made a showing on the Prada catwalks as designer Miuccia Prada served up slimline dresses, gentle box-pleat A-line skirts and 1960s-inspired overcoats with chunky buttons and colour-blocked plackets.

Key pieces A feminine cream box-pleat wool dress, geometric-print A-line skirt and shaggy fur panel coat. The knee-high boots worn with almost every look were very Barbarella, while a shift dress with iridescent fish scale-like discs had the feel of a retro swimming cap. In fact, swimming caps were used as accessories, as were oversized goggles.

Commercial appeal Despite being quite a chaotic collection there were tons of design details that will be aped by the high street come autumn 11, including geometric prints, 1960s shift dresses and box pleats.
