Prada

Autumn 12

With a superstar line-up of actors modelling Miuccia Prada’s latest men’s offering, it’s a good thing the clothes still grabbed the limelight, outshining A-listers including Tim Roth, Gary Oldman and Adrien Brody. The collection had a gentleman’s club vibe, with enough velvet and silk overcoats to do Hugh Hefner proud. It was all about the tailored coat, with the db three-quarter coats making the biggest statement. Immaculate three-piece suits – also double breasted – graced the catwalk in battleship greys and desert sand colours, tieing in with the military-influenced silhouette. Red sunglasses poking from the left-hand pocket were reminiscent of medals. Overall, it was a decidedly formal affair from Prada, which worked in perfect harmony with the general mood in Milan that lent towards an immaculately dressed man for autumn 12.
