It was a thoroughly modern affair at Proenza Schouler as the duo served up a plethora of well-executed trends. High-shine lacquered fabrics glistened in vivid metallics and shape was of the utmost importance, with angular cuts and asymmetry working beautifully with neat collared shirts and collarless jackets. It all equated to contrasting silhouettes that somehow combined effortlessly to create a sharp and contemporary collection. Opening with stark white, the collection moved into tangerine and turquoise and continued through to rusty shades and moody blues. Print and colour were equally important with the essence of the Orient captured with mandarin collars and Japanese embroidered floral and bird motifs. The asymmetric oversized zip jackets had an element of the biker theme.
