Roberto Cavalli

Spring 11

The look Cavalli has taken the trend for fringing, which punctuated so many of the London catwalks, and run away with it. A native American Indian inspiration was at play.

Key pieces Wispy, fringed maxi dresses floated down the catwalk and underpinned the collection. Tougher elements came through lace-up detailing on trousers teamed with webbed crop tops. Colours were pale, in blush pink, lavender and earthy neutrals.

Commercial appeal This glamorous, hippie-chic collection is bound to appeal. Fringing will almost certainly be everywhere next spring.

Footwear and accessories Animal skin cross-body bags with laced seams and fringing echoed the style of the clothing. Tribal gold and suede bracelets cuffed both wrists.
