The look Good girl gone bad, as rock ‘n’ roll styling was offset by romantic prom dresses.

Key pieces With prints inspired by Vincent van Gogh, the Rodarte collection was almost exclusively about the dress. The occasional separate was seen, notably a knitted jumper teamed with a silk slip skirt. A 1950s prom dress sat off the shoulder with ruffles on the neckline and waist that made for a 1980s-style silhouette.

Colours Sunflower yellows, aqua, violet and meadow green.

Commercial appeal The Rodarte woman likes a slice of edginess with her fashion to offset the feminine fabrics and silhouette. The 1980s ruffled prom dresses will be popular with the younger woman who doesn’t remember them the first time around, but for those that do, the draped silk dresses and knitted colour block jumpers will suit.
