Spring 12

The look On-and-off duty princess looks with a demi-couture feel.

Key pieces The odd skirt is teamed with sheer shirts and one pair of wide-legged trousers appeared within a collection full of breath-taking dresses. Simple loose bandeau styles sometimes featured peplum hems and cap sleeved A-line shapes in both intricate lace and colour blocks options. Longer-length styles came with couture-like intricate embellishment, embroidery and detail for a richly elegant collection of high-neck gowns.

Colours Blush pink, dusty blue, pistachio and candy pink, with trademark vivid Valentino red, black, white and camel.

Commercial appeal Valentino dresses belong on the red carpet and this season was no exception as designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli returned to the house’s show-stopping style.
