Victoria Beckham

Spring 11

The look Femininity ruled at Victoria Beckham, with soft silhouettes of sensually draped dresses knotted at the waist or hip. Asymmetric necklines ran throughout the offer, making for a more modern take on the 1950s and 1960s era from which Beckham took inspiration.

Key pieces Full skirts flared out from belted waists and, when the waist wasn’t drawn in, 1960s-inspired shift dresses that stopped just above the knee came with delicate capped sleeves.

Colours Royal purple, canary yellow and molten brown made for a rich palette which backed the monochrome trend.

Commercial appeal This was a well put together commercial collection with soft silhouettes that will be on trend for spring 11 if the rest of the New York shows are anything to go by. The soft shoulder dresses knotted at the waist are sure to translate to the high street.
