Spring 12

The look Designer Stefano Pilati sharpened up last season’s look for a stricter interpretation of modern military, filtered through the house’s signature safari style.

Key pieces Military coats dominated, with a 4db crombie and a slimline belted trench coat standing out. Tailoring was equally sharp, as lean sb and db blazers came with new shawl or mini stand-up collars, teamed with tapered, cropped trousers or cargo pants. The traditional safari jacket was also updated, with criss-cross lacing cutting through the waist.

Colours The palette was restrained, with concise use of jet black, white, beige and inky blue.

Commercial appeal The slim sb blazer is a confirmed key item for spring 12, while db options also promise to hit the mainstream. These well tailored updates offer great inspiration for the directional market.
