Exclusive: Flip Flop & Fangs gets its teeth into footwear

Teenage brand Flip Flop & Fangs is to launch a footwear range as the label readies itself for both UK and international expansion.

The brand will debut its footwear line for autumn 13, with the collection including 12 styles of low heeled and flat shoes.

Wholesale prices are yet to be decided but brand founder Rebecca Gray said she would target existing UK stockists as well as footwear retailers and department stores.

Gray said she had decided to launch footwear after feedback from stockists keen for her to expand.

She described the range as “quirky, fun and interested” and added “it gets the thumbs up from the teenagers and the parents”.

The brand has 73 stockists in the UK, but Gray is looking to grow this as well as targeting the US later this year.

Flip Flip & Fangs is also in early discussions about opening a retail store in London. “It would be more of a PR portal and a showroom as we still want to support our wholesale stockists,” said Gray.
