As the heritage Italian accessories brand Furla celebrates its 90th birthday this year, the design team have unveiled a capsule collection of nine mini-bags to mark the occasion.
The bags are all reinterpretations of the bestselling Metropolis bag, each new design inspired by a decade from Furla’s history, from the 1920s to the 2000s.
Each of the nine decades has inspired five subtly different design variations, leading to a total of 45 designs. The flap fronts of the bags are interchangeable, and can be sold separately. Styles range from an Art Deco version with velvet and rhinestone detailing, to anarchic punk variations featuring a miniature Union Jack and safety pin details.
The bags will go on sale exclusively at Furla stores in May. Bags will retail at £200 and flaps at £135.
