Fourmarketing bolsters portfolio with three brands

Distributor Fourmarketing is poised to expand after winning the rights to represent three high-profile brands.

For autumn 13 the company will take on distribution for US premium denim brand 7 For All Mankind, British luxury men’s tailoring and accessories brand Duchamp and Italian designer brand DSquared’s new Intimates range.

Fourmarketing won the 7 For All Mankind account from its previous agent Joseph, and will sell both its signature denim range and the men’s and women’s clothing line, which launched for spring 13.

Fourmarketing is hoping to increase the total number of stockists across men’s, women’s and denim from 55 to 120.

“We will also focus on providing an improved service for existing stockists, in terms of replenishment and reorders,” explained Fourmarketing co-founder Gino Da Prato.

With Duchamp, Fourmarketing plans to double the number of stockists to 80 over the next three years.

Fourmarketing began selling DSquared’s newly launched Intimates range this month, for delivery to stockists next spring in time for autumn 13. Da Prato will target major department stores including Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols as well as about 15 independents that already stock the brand’s mainline.

The agency will also represent DSquared’s forthcoming jersey range, which will be unveiled at Milan Men’s Fashion Week in January and will be delivered to stockists in the summer.

Da Prato told Drapers this expansion would see the business grow its head office and showroom – on Garrett Street, near Old Street in east London – by adding another floor, equivalent to 3,000 sq ft of space, in May 2013.

It is also hiring three new members of staff to bolster its sales team.

“We only want to work with brands that are relevant to Fourmarketing and these brands offer a great opportunity for us, alongside our current brands, to grow our business even further,” Da Prato said.

“Gone are the days of just bringing in a new collection and just sticking it on a rail and selling it. You need to back it up with great marketing, great publicity and great service.”

Fourmarketing’s existing brand portfolio includes Stone Island, Tween, M Missoni and Just Cavalli.
