The collection Targeting a younger customer than its autumn 09 collection, Gerry Weber’s spring range offers more fashion-led pieces targeting an under-40s market. A strong nautical story includes vests sewn inside jumpers in two colour options: navy and white, and black and white. Fine-knit shrugs with frilled edges and short leather jackets stand out. In the brand’s casualwear line Editions, soft jeans in pastel shades sit alongside cropped striped trousers and long anorak jackets in a rainbow of colours.

We have four programmes for spring and we’ve seen an uplift in sales in the second phase, which we’re selling now. Dresses are doing well but we’re also selling a lot more of our statement pieces. Buyers have told us that shoppers are constantly asking for new product, so having more programmes per season is working well for them.
