High Street Preview: Asos menswear spring 18

Asos head of menswear design reveals the top trends and key items from the upcoming spring 18 range.

Tailored blazers in bold checks, graphic-printed jersey jogging bottoms, long length check-lined lightweight trench coats, retro zip-through tracksuits – this mix and amtch of smart, casual, sporty and tailored sums up Asos’s spring menswear collection. Quirky, printed or patterned tailoring is dressed down with sportswear and football shirts, often with a 1990s vibe.

Nick Eley, head of menswear design, Asos: “The key theme for spring 18 is a nostalgic take on the 1990s terrace look. Sportswear is key – as are checks on jackets, caps, T-shirts and trousers. Hoodies, retro football tops and tracksuits are must-haves. High-low dressing is also a key theme: pair a football shirt or hoodie with a smart mac or overcoat, chunky trainers and a checked cap.”
