High street preview: Jaeger womenswear autumn 15

There is a pared back simplicity to Jaeger’s sophisticated autumn 15 collection, and a luxurious feel thanks to top quality fabrics, although pricing has not been altered.

Wide-legged trousers and culottes, a patch-pocket button-up midi skirt and assorted trench coats all have a 1970s flavour. Relaxed and slouchy tailoring has a ‘borrowed from the boys’ feel, with collarless tuxedo jackets, wide-leg trousers and shirts with oversized cuffs.

Outerwear is classic and often mannish, with some wool Crombies updated with wide lapels alongside a more directional shin-length oversized option.

A larger casual offer is new, with relaxed pieces including sweatshirts, jogging pant trousers and jersey leggings. Four new denim fits are added: skinny, straight, bootcut and girlfriend, which is a slightly tapered take on the oversized boyfriend style
