Chief executive Peter Ruis described autumn 15 is the culmination of a revolution at Jigsaw, with a sleek collection that feels of the moment without being too reliant on trends.
“We like seeing women in tailoring,” he said, highlighting the masculine edge of the collection’s tailoring focus. Smart trousers come in sexy, slim and cropped cuts, wide and slouchy for a more louche look or even in a jogging pant style for a more relaxed feel. All are teamed with several blazer designs.
There are fewer evening dresses, which have been replaced with more casual dressy separates such as silky spaghetti-strap tops, sexy wrap-front blouses and tailored trousers.
A belted blush pink tailored wool coat offers an alternative to the ubiquitous camel varieties at other retailers, while a collarless coat in on-trend shearling will also prove popular.
Knitwear is extra cosy, with roll-neck tabards and ribbed polo tops featuring oversized collars, while exclusively blended cloud cashmere is used on thin layering pieces.
