“It’s a season of texture and jacquard. It’s the new way to wear print and pattern,” says Oasis design director Clive Reeve. Embroidery, tactile fabrics and specially developed jacquards are used on dresses, coats and separates.
Catwalk inspirations filter through with hints of the 1970s, 1960s and Victoriana.
For outerwear, there are several sleeveless styles alongside a shin-length db tailored coat, while fuzzy fur collarless jackets, capes and chunky coatigans are key. A Prince of Wales check coat with contrasting lapels comes with a matching miniskirt for a retro co-ord look.
Skirts focus on retro A-line shapes, with a button-up denim option promising to be a hero item. Meanwhile, a wrapped pencil skirt design is fresh, as is a striped ribbed knit dress with roll-neck detail.
