The autumn 12 collection was a belter from Agi & Sam, so it was fingers crossed the duo’s second collection with MAN would pick up where that left off.
Inspired by watching detective shows in the 1980s, the humour and attention to detail made a satisfying mix. Print is their thing, this time mimicking upholstery jacquards and needle-point patterns while the silhouette (not to mention the moustaches) evoked Magnum PI and Miami Vice. Leather and fabric made from recycled plastic bottles featured but the trenches stole the show. Maybe a step too far for Columbo though.
In short Print will be key as men experiment more but the all-over looks will be replaced by statement pieces and contrast panels on the high street.
