Painter Ben Nicholson and Russian modernism informed Oliver Spencer’s use of colour.
Colour and print complemented each other with a mix of burnt orange, electric blue, sand and berry tones particularly strong on outerwear through reworked bombers and more traditional macs. There was the familiar unlined cotton and linen jackets, alongside a single pleat trouser and board short. A mix of mismatched tops to bottoms and also totally matching outfits led to an eclectic collection. Aztec-print shorts with matching shirt bolstered the flourishing trend for print on print.
