Miss Selfridge

Autumn 11

The autumn 11 range from Miss Selfridge is not among the brand’s best work, with the collection lacking the feminine pretty vintage twists it’s usually graced with. Instead Miss Selfridge used colour clashing 70s shades of burgundy and mustard on wool shift dresses, a sporadic selection of intarsia ponchos and almost every mannequin was topped with an early YSL and Elizabeth Taylor-inspired turban. A simple black tailoring and lace story was better as was the use of fur as glamorous belted gillets.
