Project D gears up for growth with web revamp

Project D, the contemporary womenswear brand co-founded by former The X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, is to be rebranded and will relaunch its website next month ahead of major international expansion.

The brand, for which spring 13 will be its sixth season, is embarking on a programme of rapid growth that will see it move into the Middle East and Europe later this year.

According to Project D co-founder Tabitha Somerset-Webb, the site relaunch is the brand’s biggest move forward since it began in 2010.

“Where previously the website was static and not representative of the quality and beauty of the product lines, it will now showcase the collections in a simple and striking way,” said Somerset-Webb.

The site will focus on social media with an emphasis on users being able to share content but it will not be transactional.

The rebranding for Project D, which was carried out by London branding agency Aesop, includes the creation of a new logo, which will be used on all branded collateral.

“The new identity for Project D is directly influenced by mine and Dannii’s personalities – our friendship – and encompasses the vintage cues and graceful femininity that are key to the brand,” added Somerset-Webb.

Project D has 35 stockists in the UK. Wholesale prices range from £88 to £214.90.
