SANDWICH

Spring 10

The collection Sea blue, dusky pink, mint and apple green floral and folksy print dresses make a statement among the neutral shades at Sandwich and will stand out well on the shopfloor. Stripes are a strong pattern story, particularly on tunic dresses, which liberally pepper the collection, and draped jersey is a key look. The overriding theme of the collection is layering, whether that is boyfriend cardigans over leggings and tunics, or buttery soft leather biker jackets paired with soft jersey print dresses. There are fewer skirts than in past seasons to accommodate the higher proportion of dresses.

We have found that we are selling so many tunics and dresses for spring 10 – in past seasons it would have been basic tops to pair with jeans and trousers. Everyone is asking for colour so we’ve got some really bright pieces coming in for the high-summer collection. We had so many new account enquiries at Pure London we were turning people away, so the mood is more buoyant.
