Scandi footwear brand Woden launches "fish leather" collection

Scandinavian trainer brand Woden has launched a premium eco-friendly “fish leather” collection for spring 17.

Shoes in Woden’s new premium North Sea Collection are made from completely natural materials, including “fish leather”, a natural byproduct of the Icelandic fishing industry. The lightweight material is made from fish skin, and is ten times stronger than regular cows’ leather. The collection comprises 10 different designs, and fish leather from cod and salmon is incorporated into the trainers.

Woden launched its main line of trainers for autumn 16. It is stocked in more than 600 stores internationally, and has 24 UK stockists, including Sunday Best, Tessuti, Psyche, Diffusion and Accent. The new top-tier North Sea Collection will launch in a limited number of these stockists, including Tessuti, in early November.

Wholesale prices range from £56 to £65.
