Atelier Scotch

“I’ve bought into this brand for the first time for spring 15, based on the design and fit. After seeing it at Pitti Uomo, I took an instant liking to the concept of a cleaner, more grown-up Scotch & Soda brand. It’s aimed at a consumer who appreciates more than just a label and desires better fabrics along with fit. Lightweight linen blazers particularly stand out.”

Fred Perry x
Nigel Cabourn

“Fred Perry (Authentic range spring 15, pictured) has been a staple at Stuarts London for over 12 years, but this collaboration is new for spring 15.The inspiration comes from the 1950s table tennis theme that Fred Perry was once known for. Nigel Cabourn hasn’t left any detail short and each piece looks great. The vintage polo shirt stands out.”

Adidas Y-3

“I first brought Y-3 in for autumn 14 and since then we’ve had a fantastic reaction to all the new styles this season, such as the Qasa Hi trainers, which sold out on the online launch date. I bought into the brand for spring 15 because of the design. The creative team that led it to success the first time are back on board (including sales manager David Weston) and in just one season they’ve already begun to place it back on the map globally.”

Belstaff

“I’ve also bought into Belstaff for the first time. The archive styles stay consistent in price and never go into Sale and the seasonal styles look really on trend. The Union Jack (pictured) reissue jacket looks amazing, plus there were some very interesting fabrics used on the lighter-weight spring jackets.”

BD Baggies

“This authentic US shirt brand is new to the UK for spring 15. I’ve been looking for a decent shirt brand that is about fine quality and simplicity and will appeal to my 30-plus aged consumer. The pricing strategy is competitive and the shirts already have loyal fans.”

Barbour X White Mountaineering

“We’ve been a Barbour stockist for a long time and participated in all its top-tier collaborations. This one is my favourite by far - the use of blue colours combined into camouflage prints looks great. White Mountaineering from Japan is a great brand to have on board as it is so particular in design. The jackets look amazing, as do the accessories.”

Frame Denim

“US brand Frame Denim continues to deliver key fashion styles in a great fit with easy-to-wear washes. It’s all about the Le Rip Skinny (pictured) and the Le Garcon as the strongest silhouettes for spring 15, as we move towards the slim boyfriend. I’ve been buying the brand since 2013.”

IDA

“Our own brand, Ida looks very exciting for spring 15. My favourites are based on fashion icons. The high-rise Ida Ivy skinny returns in a wash called Goldie’s Dream, inspired by Goldie Hawn’s love of light and bright blue denim, and 70s Farrah (pictured), after Farrah Fawcett’s iconic worn-in jeans.”

J Brand

“I’ve been buying J Brand since we opened in 2006. It continues to be the leading denim brand, committed to delivering new denim fabrics. Its experiments with longer leg lengths with the Stack Skinny style have been particularly successful. This season, electric blue leather skinny styles and blue denim with paint splatters or rips (pictured) stand out.”
