Stockholm Fashion Week: Carin Wester

Several of the Stockholm designers looked to menswear for autumn 13, with smart mannish tailoring and oversized outerwear emerging as top trends.

Carin Wester’s take on this had a slouchier, androgynous feel, with pared-back db blazers, swishy wider-leg trousers and cropped culotte shorts. Outerwear came in simple but super-sized shapes including a long formal coat and padded fur-trimmed bomber, while knits showed up as long jumpers with thick rollnecks or a jumper dress with cable knit detailing. A reduced palette of camel, black and navy was lifted with a fun furry fox-tail print.

In short Cool-boy dressing for cooler girls, as the pared-back masculine trend got a nonchalant interpretation.
