The Jacksons in wholesale push

Former French Connection accessories wholesale manager Alice Nichols will lead the expansion of women’s footwear and accessories brand The Jacksons’ wholesale operation with the aim of increasing stockist numbers by 30%.

The Jacksons, which started as an own label at the business’s store in London’s Notting Hill has tasked Nichols with building on the brand’s

15 UK accounts for spring 13, her first full season in the role. Nichols hopes to add another three to five stockists in the next year.

Most of The Jacksons’ 15 stockists are womenswear indies, including contemporary boutique Doodie Stark in Lindfield, West Sussex, and two-store mainstream indie Cuckoo in Cambridge, but Nichols hopes to target department stores including Fenwick and footwear specialists including Kurt Geiger for spring 13.

“The business has had a wholesale side but there was no one overseeing it until now,” said Nichols. “The time is right to grow it as a lot of stockists are looking for something unique and we can provide that.”

Nichols added that The Jacksons can work with stockists to provide footwear that complements their clothing lines.

Wholesale prices for The Jacksons footwear start at £52 and go up to £140.
