Christian Wijnants is leader of the wool pack

The International Woolmark Prize final during London Fashion Week attracted a stellar audience, with a judging panel including Victoria Beckham, Donatella Versace and Diane von Furstenberg.

Finalists showed off their wool creations on the catwalk before Belgian designer Christian Wijnants was announced as the winner, pocketing £65,000 in the process. His hand-knitted, tie-dye designs made from 100% merino wool (pictured) comprised one of the more wearable collections, showing a knack for casualwear with a fashion-forward element. His collection will be stocked in Harvey Nichols in London and Bergdorf Goodman in New York as part of the prize.
