Copenhagen Fashion Week: Henrik Vibskov

A Henrik Vibskov show always promises to be a surprising spectacle, and yesterday evening’s chilly outdoor show in the centre of Copenhagen was no different.

The most packed out show of the day eventually kicked off with huge polka dot tongue slowly unfurling along the catwalk as masked dancers began to emerge from its interior - and this was just the setting. Both mens and womens collections came covered with abstracted ikat graphics and punched with polka dotted holes, sometimes layered one on top of the other and often teamed with shorts cut just above the knee. Signature knits brought a strongly commercial spin, as colourful panels and contrast textures updated basic jumpers and cardigans.
