Akin to the subtle draping seen at Pure  in London but a step up in terms of volume  this look is all about creating movement in garments via loose folds single loop tucking or simple draping and was often used to give a softer and more sophisticated silhouette to the 1980s style square box tunics and long shirt dresses on offer. Many designers cited contemporary dance costume as inspiration so it’s no surprise that jersey was a key fabric used to create this effect. Washed silks and silk jerseys were also prevalent.
