COTTON USA and Drapers introduce exclusive video with sponsored designer Lucas Nascimento

COTTON USA and Drapers have joined together to create an exclusive ‘Designer Q&A’ video session, with up and coming designer Lucas Nascimento.

Lucas has secured COTTON USA’s coveted sponsorship, for his Spring/Summer 2015 presentation at London Fashion Week. This will be the first time that Lucas has received the prestigious COTTON USA sponsorship, largely due to his brand values which mirror those of COTTON USA – Lucas has a track record of creating, luxurious, quality pieces which are long lasting and are not restricted to a specific trend or season. Also, his passion for working with natural fibres such as U.S. cotton makes the partnership a great fit.

In this fascinating video, Lucas discusses his design inspiration for Spring/Summer 2015 and the importance of the sponsorship he has received from COTTON USA. This season, Lucas has been inspired by his childhood in the caves and lakes of Bonito, Brazil. Its vibrant colour combinations are recurrent elements of his designs and have led the direction of his new womenswear collection.

Filmed in Lucas’ studio, the video provides a glimpse into the exciting world of fashion design, as he discusses the history behind his brand, the type of women he designs for and also reveals why he loves working with U.S. cotton. He provides insight into what it is like being a young fashion designer, and shares exclusive details about his collection for the upcoming London Fashion Week show.

Lucas Nascimento will unveil his latest LFW collection at an exclusive catwalk show at Somerset House on 13th September at 7.30pm.
