Dry and papery touch

Spring 11

Unusual finishings and materials offered new handles and aspects to fabrics, with a strong feeling for dry, almost scratchy qualities. Nikke uses a hard chemical wool finishing on its suiting fabrics that created a brittle touch and elasticity for a new handle, and dry and rustic suiting was also seen at Luigi Ricceri in cotton/silk blends. Elsewhere, sheer crepes and paper-thin jerseys offered a crisp and vaporous quality.
