Graduate Fashion Week 2014: Menswear Award

Aimee Dunn, Nottingham Trent University

This year’s menswear offer was one of the strongest Drapers has seen at GFW in recent years, but Dunn is deserving of the prize.

With a strict monochrome palette, she played with traditional men’s wardrobe staples including classic shirts and tailored trousers teamed with more directional sleeveless duffle coats and oversized knee-skimming knitted jumpers. The standout tongue-in-cheek Margaret Thatcher intarsia jumper and socio-political embroidered slogans added a touch of humour that will serve Dunn well in her career.
