Autumn 10

Taking its influence from men’s and women’s wear, where heritage brands have been faring well since autumn 09 and was a trend in its own right the same season, heritage has filtered down to kidswear in both boys and girls wear next season. The look was key for outerwear and knitwear, with salt & pepper tweeds, houndstooth and herringbones in classic shapes. Double breasted pea coats and cardigans were a strong look for boys, while for girls, trench coat variations were seen in several collections. Historic references such as leg of mutton sleeves and cape yokes were a welcome update to classic styling and a way of brands adding a fashion update.
