Kurt Geiger: Menswear

Autumn 10

The look

Kurt Geiger backs a rugged hiking theme in its autumn 10 men’s footwear range, with a prevalence of work boots and hiker boots with eyelet details.

Brown and black dominate the palette, but these are lifted by brighter options such as blue, green, red and even purple shades. Suede also plays a key role, with a five-style collection of driving loafers. The style has been doing well for the retailer, so Kurt Geiger has expanded the colour palette to include purple, light blue and green, which sit alongside more traditional brown and navy.

Kurt Geiger has once again teamed up with UK footwear manufacturer Trickers to create a range of brogue boots available in navy and black with brighter laces in shades such as red and yellow.

Elongated and pointed lasts also feature in autumn 10 after the success of previous seasons.

Key pieces

  • Trickers boots with brightly coloured laces
  • Rugged boots with eyelets
  • Heavy hiking boots with a stitched brown rugged woollen sock trim

Right for the market?

Kurt Geiger has successfully interpreted autumn 10’s key footwear trends, which will prove popular with the retailer’s target demographic. Pricing is similar to recent seasons, starting from about £120 and rising to £320 across the ranges. Brogues and hiking boots, along with the use of quality materials, tick all the boxes.
