Danish womenswear brand Rutme is new to the UK for autumn 10. Rutme means rhythm in Danish and is an appropriate description of the quirky brand which focuses on design detail over high street trends. Bright chunky knits, logos and denim feature strongly this season.

Schott has gone back to its roots as a biker jacket afficiaonado with the launch of a classic soft leather biker jacket for women in browns, tan, red and pastels. While women’s jackets will be the big story for autumn 10 Schott has also given its men’s jackets a nod to Japan and Americana.

Plain Lazy

Plain Lazy sells itself as a lifestyle brand which doesn’t take itself to seriously, demonstrated by its humorous slogan t-shirts, which for autumn 10 come in a slim-fit style. Plain Lazy has also extended its denim ranges to four options and grown its womenswear collection outside of core t-shirts and hoodies to include cardigans and different cuts and fabrics.

Psylo produces its alternative men’s and womenswear brand in Bali and features a mixture of ripped chunky knits, military inspired coats and earthy tones. Psylo is backing funnel-necked jumpers in menswear for autumn 10, while knits with cotton linings are strong for womenswear.

T-shirt brand Dephect started life ten years ago as a graffiti and skater-inspired range. Dephect’s graphic prints and logos feature collaborations with artists such as Dan Kitchener and tit regularly ties-up with hip hop and scratch DJs. The brand will launch jackets for spring 11.
