Industry insiders share their opinions.
Danny Shaw footwear buyer at private sales website Secret Sales said:
“I really like this show for footwear. There is a good mix of brands and a good balance between the emerging brands and some of the more established labels.
“I think they could probably do with a bit more of the premium end stuff but apart from that I think it is a good show. I have been impressed by the kid’s footwear too and that is an area we are looking to move into.
“In terms of brands that I think look particularly strong for spring 13 – I have really liked Ravel – they were looking really really good.”
The owner of one womenswear indie located in Leicestershire said:
“I think the show has seemed busier this year compared to last year. As well as all the usuals, I have seen a couple of new brands which I will definitely look at again and might consider buying.
“The accessories area is a good place to find new brands and in womenswear there are some brands here that I either haven’t seen at the show or haven’t been here for a few seasons.”
